Hepatitis A Virus Detection Using the Loop-Mediated Isothermal Amplification-Based (LAMP) Technique in Foods

This protocol describes a rapid and sensitive method for detecting hepatitis A virus (HAV) in food samples using reverse transcription loop-mediated isothermal amplification (RT-LAMP). The technique targets the conserved 5′-UTR region of the HAV genome with six specific primers, enabling simultaneous reverse transcription and amplification at 62.5 °C for 60 min. This method offers a quick and reliable approach for HAV detection in food, supporting food safety monitoring and outbreak investigations.
