Transmission of Plant Virus by Grafting
摘要
Graft inoculation of plant viruses is one of the most important and commonly used experimental method for the transmission of viruses (Bhat et al., Characterization of plant viruses, 2020). Transmission of phloem-borne viruses for their study and functioning is carried out using graft inoculation. Transmission study for most of the perennial woody plant viruses can only be carried out successfully through grafting technique using indicator plants (Jones, Diagnosis of plant virus diseases. CRC Press, 2019). The following protocol provides a basic and simple mechanism for the transmission of viruses.
