Invitrogen’s TRIzol Reagent is a simple, all-in-one solution for isolating total RNA from a variety of biological materials. TRIzol is designed for PCR analysis and successfully disintegrates cells while preserving RNA integrity during homogenization. Its distinct phenol-guanidine isothiocyanate composition aids in phase separation using chloroform, allowing RNA to be extracted into the aqueous phase. Isopropanol precipitation and nuclease-free water resuspension produce pure RNA appropriate for downstream uses.
