Isolation and Detection of Gram-Positive Bacteria from Tin Food Samples
摘要
Cross-contamination of foodborne pathogens is a serious problem the players face in the food industry because it increases the health risk after consuming the contaminated foods. Hence, this study was designed to identify and isolate the Gram-positive pathogenic bacteria in tin foods by employing conventional techniques. Identification, isolation, and prevention of pathogenic bacteria, particularly the Gram-positive spore formers, is fundamental for attaining the height of food safety standards and protocol, thereby improving the organoleptic properties and shelf life of processed and canned foods. Therefore, this study describes the step-by-step method for the identification and isolation of Gram-positive pathogenic bacteria in tin foods.
