Plant growth-promoting fungi (PGPF) are found in the rhizosphere soil of many types of crops. Known for bolstering defense mechanisms and promoting plant growth, PGPF applications reduce reliance on agrochemicals and shield plants from both biotic and abiotic stresses. There are several advantages to symbiotic partnerships between plants and fungi that support plant growth. In this context, PGPF, as soil fungi inhabiting the rhizosphere, play a crucial role in promoting plant growth by enhancing the bioavailability of soil nutrients, offering a sustainable and environmentally friendly alternative to traditional agrochemical use. The goal of this study was to examine the PGPF gene prediction using a metagenomic approach.
