Jörg Terhechte was a scholar of European and international economic law. He did not look at the two legal systems in isolation, but sought to understand their common roots, their overlaps and mutual supportiveness as well as their respective tensions both legally and politically. Perhaps this was due to his central interest in competition law, a field which transcends the boundaries of European and international law in many ways. He also believed that there is value in a unique European perspective on international economic law which is why he co-founded the European Yearbook of International Economic Law.

摘要

Jörg Terhechte was a scholar of European and international economic law. He did not look at the two legal systems in isolation, but sought to understand their common roots, their overlaps and mutual supportiveness as well as their respective tensions both legally and politically. Perhaps this was due to his central interest in competition law, a field which transcends the boundaries of European and international law in many ways. He also believed that there is value in a unique European perspective on international economic law which is why he co-founded the European Yearbook of International Economic Law.
