Cartilage Tumours
摘要
Cartilage tumours comprise a large, heterogenous group of tumours with a typical chondroid matrix, lobular growth and ring type of calcifications. MRI serves as the modality of choice with characteristic T2 bright signal. In World Health Organization 2020 classification, cartilage tumours have been classified as benign, intermediate and malignant. Although there have been many recent advances, differentiating benign and malignant cartilage tumours still poses a significant challenge. In this chapter, we briefly go through benign and malignant cartilage tumours. We also discuss briefly about the recent classification system ‘Birmingham Atypical Cartilage Tumour Imaging Protocol’ proposed by radiologists in Birmingham.
