Osseous tumours of the foot are relatively uncommon, accounting for up to 7% of all bone tumours. The rarity and atypical presentations of these osseous tumours prove challenging for clinicians and diagnostic radiologists alike. While most bone tumours of the foot are benign and may be incidentally discovered, significant morbidity and mortality may ensue due to diagnostic delays and complex management. Imaging plays a key role in the initial diagnosis and workup of osseous tumours of the foot. Plain radiography often serves as the initial modality in diagnosis. Computed tomography may be helpful in specific circumstances for more detailed lesion characterisation and surgical planning, given the complex anatomy of the foot. Magnetic resonance imaging provides better internal characterisation of lesions, superior soft tissue characterisation and better assessment of locoregional extent. This chapter aims to provide a comprehensive review of the various osseous tumours of the foot and their pertinent imaging findings.
