Imaging-Guided Musculoskeletal Tumor Ablation
摘要
With prolonged survival of cancer patients, bone metastases form the majority of musculoskeletal tumors in the elderly. There are also other musculoskeletal tumors occurring more commonly in the elderly group such as multiple myeloma and sarcoma. This chapter aims to provide an overview on the variety of thermal ablation techniques available in the management of these musculoskeletal tumors, with an emphasis on the more common ablation systems such as radiofrequency ablation, microwave ablation and cryoablation, and their technical considerations.
