Heart Chambers
摘要
Knowledge of the anatomy of the six chambers of the heart is paramount to a comprehensive reading of a cardiac imaging exam. From the extensively studied left ventricle to the less known right atrial appendage, each cavity comes with its own particularity and normal parameters. Standard cardiac anatomical planes should be well known for understanding and applying reference values. The aim of this chapter is to remind the characteristics and anatomy of the different heart chambers but also to emphasize on the parameters derived from the various measurements of each chamber and their application in routine cardiology.
