Synthesis and Characterization of Lead-Free Halide Perovskite Nanocrystals for Photocatalytic Applications
摘要
Lead-based halide perovskites have been revolutionizing solar cells, light-emitting diodes, radiation detectors, and photocatalysts for the last few decades as verified from the various literature in the area, but the factors like toxicity and moisture instability have shifted the global research interest towards the development of Pb-free halide-based perovskites. This novel material, especially the nanocrystals of Pb-free halide perovskites, has been refining the domain of solar photocatalysis extensively because of the fact that the shift from the bulk to nano-regime increases the catalytic activity. In this chapter, various methodologies have been scrutinized that have been reported for the synthesis of Pb-free halide perovskite nano-motifs to the best of our knowledge, along with their characterizations and photocatalytic applications.
