<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto;">This book studies the communication background, motivation, mode and effect of traditional Chinese opera in the twentieth century, places the phenomenon of traditional Chinese opera communication in the macroenvironment of social change in the twentieth century, focuses on the social trend of thought, media industry and social structure in modern China, and explores the four major communication forces of traditional Chinese opera: cultural change, political needs, economic promotion, and folk customs. It examines the organizational forms closely related to communication, such as opera performance troupes, theaters, media organizations, government departments, associations and guilds, and professional colleges, and analyzes the communication effects such as the enhancement of public consciousness, the promotion of actors' status, the play of opera education function, the modern transformation of opera art form, and the formation of opera industry. It provides a historical reference and direction for the dissemination and development of traditional Chinese opera in the new era.</p>
