Mathematical Model of Prepreg Deformation on a Curvilinear Surface

Abstract
A mathematical model of deformation of the prepreg (fabric) was developed when laying out on the curvilinear surface of the tooling in the framework of the theory of geometrically nonlinear bending of a thin orthotropic plate with strong anisotropy. Analytical solutions are obtained for components of displacement fields and shear deformations of fabric depending on the function of the tooling curvilinear surface. Patterns of changes in orientations and mutual angles between threads were revealed when laying out the fabric on a given curved surface.
