Abstract <p>The existing technology for machining the screw in a submersible pump for petroleum products is analyzed. The basic deficiencies in turning, grinding, and polishing the 30KhGSA steel screw workpiece are established. Improvements in the machining process are recommended to increase its productivity and to boost screw quality.</p>
