Abstract <p>The feasibility of providing technical support for mechanical-engineering products by manufacturers throughout their entire service life is substantiated. A reliability indicator for mechanical-engineering products, taking into account maintenance costs, is developed. A set of measures for manufacturers is proposed to improve the quality of products and maintenance service.</p>
