Abstract <p>The possibility of automated diagnostics of the condition of an automobile is studied based on determination of the temperatures of driveshaft needle bearings under nominal transmission loads. The relation is established between the outer surface temperature of bearing assemblies and the temperature in the friction zone.</p>
