Abstract <p>The paper develops an algorithm for substantiating design decisions for reusable launch vehicles. The paper considers the methodology for selecting design parameters for reusable launch vehicles, taking into account studies to substantiate agreed levels of reliability, service life, and mass characteristics of space transport systems. The criteria for making design decisions for reusable launch vehicles are analyzed. A methodology for standardizing the service life of onboard systems for reusable launch vehicles is proposed.</p>
