Undercutting in Linear Planetary Pinwheel Gears

Abstract
Undercutting in linear planetary pinwheel gears is considered, as a result of which the contact of teeth and pins is disrupted in the section of the active profile of the satellite. The conditions for the occurrence of undercutting are determined, and a universal graph (analogous to the blocking contour for an involute transmission) is given, which shows the presence or absence of undercutting.
