Abstract <p>Prediction of the testing time for industrial equipment, machine tools, and machines in production planning is considered. This is important because the time required in the quality control department, test center, or laboratory must be included in the product’s production cycle. For an existing test system, as an example, it is explained how to divide a new product into key components on the basis of existing terminology and how to sort the components in accordance with the required tests, for subsequent prediction of the total testing time.</p>
