Abstract <p>Attention focuses on how the microstructure of Mg–Ca alloy obtained by equal-channel angular pressing and torsion at high hydrostatic pressure affects its mechanical properties and performance. The influence of ZrO<sub>2</sub> and TiO<sub>2</sub> coatings applied by atomic-layer deposition on alloy performance is also considered.</p>
