Abstract

Under the influence of digital technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), and automated control systems, modern industry is rapidly transforming. However, one of the key obstacles to improving production efficiency lies in delays in data transmission and processing between various elements of the industrial ecosystem. Distributed Intelligence (DI) offers a new paradigm of management of industrial systems, in which decision-making is not centralized, but collective, based on consideration of a variety of factors, and performed in real time.
