Abstract

The design of microstrip directional couplers on the basis of Russian-made low-temperature cofired ceramics (LTCC) is considered. Such technology is of great utility in microwave devices for different purposes. The creation of multilayer structures using such ceramics permits the integration of different functional components (such as resistors, capacitor, and inductances) within a single module. That greatly decreases the size of the devices and increases their productivity [1]. The amplitude–frequency characteristics of the couplers are calculated and the prospects for their manufacture on the basis of low-temperature cofired ceramics are assessed.
