Abstract <p>The article demonstrates the possibility of calculating the macro- and microhardness of carbides, nitrides, and borides at any load based on a known Vickers or Knoop microhardness value, as well as calculating the microhardness based on a given Vickers macrohardness value. Hardness values of a number of phases, unavailable in previously published research, are calculated.</p>
