Abstract <p>The influence of strain wave hardening on the corrosion resistance is investigated. Specifically, the influence of the following factors on the corrosion resistance is analyzed: the grain size of the metal, the angle of grain rotation, and the size and hardening depth of the surface layer. To increase the corrosion resistance of a part by means of strain wave hardening, more than 30% hardening must be ensured.</p>
