Abstract <p>The article investigates the dynamics of technological systems during cutting. It is shown that approaches of synergetics and its sub-directions (nonlinear dynamics, fractal theory, and bifurcation theory) can be used to determine the conditions of stability of a technological system and opportunities to improve that stability.</p>
