Abstract <p>Twenty-year trends in annual mean surface air temperature (°C/year) and annual precipitation (%/year) were calculated for 1940–2020. The source data were the HadCRUT5 Analysis version 5.0.2.0 and ERA5 reanalysis. Global estimates and spatial distributions (the values characterizing 5° ×&#xa0;5° latitude-longitude boxes) were obtained for four consecutive 20-year periods. Corresponding maps were drawn, and changes in the 20-year trends in space and time were described.</p>
