An Alternating Signal Generator Based on the Resistive Switching Effect
摘要
The volt-ampere characteristics (VAC) of compressed powder semiconductors feature a symmetrical S-shape and exhibit hysteresis, the area of which is determined by the resistivity and the degree of dispersion of the material. In some cases, a section is observed in the VAC with a negative differential resistance which is due to the effect of electrical breakdown. Presented below are the results of an experimental and theoretical study of the feasibility of creating a generator based on the resistive switching effect (memristor effect) and electrical breakdown in compressed powder structures. A theoretical model of the generator based on experimentally measured VAC has been developed. The calculations satisfactorily reproduce the main features of the experimental observations.
