Abstract <p>We report on calculation of geomagnetic radio emissions of an extensive air shower (EAS) produced by the <sup>4</sup>He nucleus in the kinetic model. It is assumed that the <sup>4</sup>He nucleus, in terms of interaction with the atmosphere, can be approximately represented as a system of four noninteracting nucleons, causing four practically identical shower disks with a small shift in time. The spectra of radio emissions at distances of 100 and 800 m from the axis of the vertical EAS in the frequency range of 40–340 MHz with a resolution of 20 MHz are found and compared with previous calculations for the proton.</p>
