Abstract <p>In this paper, we have synthesized vanadium carbide nanoparticles by a lithium-thermal reduction process at 600°C in a stainless-steel autoclave. The product was characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electronmicroscopy (TEM) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). X-ray diffraction patterns indicate that the obtained product is cubic phase vanadium carbide.</p>
