Determining Actual Contact Area for Longitudinal Assembling of Pressure Joints

Abstract
The article discusses the formation of the actual contact area during longitudinal assembly of pressure joints and experimental methods for determining its value. The aim of the study is to identify the dependence of the volume of voids and, accordingly, the actual contact area on roughness and contact pressure for different pairs of materials.
