Abstract <p>This article examines materials used to create temporary protective coatings for automotive body panels. The main types of coatings (film and liquid), their properties, advantages, and limitations of use are studied. Special attention is paid to criteria for selecting coatings; a comparative analysis of protective materials is carried out, and prospects for the development of protective materials are discussed.</p>
