Prospects and Experience in the Use of Coatings for the Protection of Working Surfaces of Machines

Abstract
The use of coatings for protecting the working surfaces of road machinery is reviewed, and their service properties are analyzed. Polymer coatings increase corrosion resistance, wear resistance, weather resistance, and antiadhesive properties with respect to processed soils on machine working surfaces. Various materials are analyzed for their application as protective coatings for machine working surfaces. The properties of coatings are related to their operating temperature conditions. The prospects for using polymer-dispersion-filled coatings to protect the working platform of a semitrailer have been determined.
