Abstract

This paper discusses the properties of polymeric materials and provides recommendations for their use in 3D printing a pressure gauge limit indicator using fused deposition modeling (FDM) technology. The materials used to manufacture this component must meet stringent requirements, including resistance to corrosion in active environments and temperature fluctuations, as well as resistance to dynamic loads. This paper presents a study of the properties of ABS and PETG plastics. The study demonstrated that, when selecting the appropriate polymer, additive manufacturing can be successfully used to produce complex finite elements, resulting in extremely fast production, high precision, and even lower costs compared to other traditional technologies.
