Abstract <p>This paper examines the design features and laboratory test results of a system for mechanized feeding of slag-forming mixtures into the crystallizers of continuous casting machines for especially large round blanks. The system involves the simultaneous introduction of finely dispersed material through two guide spouts that move along a predetermined trajectory above the metal surface.</p>
