Abstract

The results of a comparative analysis of the broadening of some α + β titanium alloys during hot rolling using the “circle–smooth barrel” and “rectangle–smooth barrel” schemes under laboratory and industrial conditions are presented. Statistically significant regression equations are obtained for the broadening coefficient as a function of the rolling reduction ratio, the reduced roll diameter, and the axial ratio of the given strip. The adequacy of these equations is confirmed by the agreement between the calculated broadening characteristics and the experimental ones.
