Abstract <p>The machine aging theory developed by A. I. Selivanov, academician of V.I. Lenin Academy of Agricultural Sciences, introduces the concept of the suitability of machines and individual elements. When choosing crankshaft rebuilding methods, it is necessary to evaluate them for suitability. This article describes the development of a cutting-edge technology for rebuilding aged crankshafts. The proposed technology allows extending the crankshaft life by 90–160% while maintaining the fatigue strength as high as the endurance limit of a new shaft.</p>
