Abstract

The influence of the diameter of the cast kernel of the welded joint of alloy 1915 made by contact spot welding on the strength of the joint under static and cyclic tension is considered. By reducing the diameter of the kernel for resistance welding machines, it is possible to increase the maximum thickness of the welded parts by about 1 mm. To increase the static and cyclic strength of welded point joints, it is advisable to use the design of joints with increased rigidity in the area where the weld points are located.
