Surface Hardening of Corrosion-Resistant Steels by Ion Nitriding in Ammonia–Argon Mixture
摘要
Abstract
The results of the study on the corrosion-resistant steel 12Kh18H10T (microstructure, microhardness of the surface layer, and wear resistance indicators) after ion nitriding using various saturating media (ammonia-argon mixtures) and temperatures are presented. Factors for intensifying the nitriding process and optimal heat treatment regimes to achieve the best microstructure of the obtained nitrided layers have been identified.
