Abstract <p>This article provides an overview of green information technologies and computing aimed at reducing the negative impact on the environment. Special attention is paid to energy efficiency, optimizing resource use, and minimizing the carbon footprint. The article discusses green approaches to the creation of hardware and software and the features of building green networks, including the internet and cloud computing. The final part of the articl is devoted to the question of green mining and its impact on the environment.</p>
