Abstract <p>Ammonites were found in the Upper Campanian deposits of the type locality of <i>Ammonites Baeri</i> Simonovich, Bacevich et Sorokin, 1876 in Yessentuki. This species is almost unknown in the literature due to its uncertain features and the absence of type material. The study of these ammonites allows us to ascribe <i>Ammonites Baeri</i> to the Coniacian–Maastrichtian subgenus <i>Hauericeras</i> (<i>Gardeniceras</i>).</p>
