Abstract <p>The distribution of diamond crystals by basic typomorphic features such as the habit, color, the presence of twins and intergrowths, the morphology of relics of the crystal growth surface, processes of its dissolution, as well as plastic deformation, degree of mechanical wear, etc. has been identified as a result of morphological analysis and IR and EPR spectroscopic study of a representative diamond collection from the placer of the Khara-Mas river (Anabar, Yakutia), which is provided by PJSC ALROSA. The main differences between the diamonds of the Khara-Mas and other placers of the Anabar region include the maximum possible distribution of spinel twins, as well as the association of paramagnetic centers <i>P1</i>–<i>P2</i>–<i>W21</i>. According to the previously proposed model of genetic groups, which combines the possible heterogeneous primary provenance of the Anabar diamond placers, we showed a regular decrease in the number of highly transparent crystals without inclusions, twins, and intergrowths.</p>
