Estimation of Structural Imaging Uncertainties in the Absence of Wells in the Caspian Sea
摘要
This paper is dedicated to the factors that affect the estimation of structural uncertainty based on 2D seismic data in the absence of LOG and VSP data on one of the Caspian Sea areas. A complicated seismogeological structure of the near-surface section and high- and low-velocity local anomalies affecting the structural geometry of target reflecting horizons are key features of the project. The 2D seismic data from 2020 and 2023 were processed and interpreted. During re-processing in 2023, time- and depth-migrated images were significantly enhanced, in particular, by efficient supervision and interpretive maintenance. The estimation results obtained for uncertainties in the structural plan in the area of interest are of fundamental importance for the further planning of 3D seismic exploration and drilling methods.
