Abstract

In this work, we study the spatiotemporal dynamics of magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) waves in magnetic structures of the solar corona (coronal loops, spicules, etc.). It is assumed that the primary source of wave dispersion is thermal misbalance, associated with the dependence of plasma heating/cooling rates on temperature and density. We use the exact analytical solution to the boundary value problem for the evolutionary equation describing entropy and slow magnetoacoustic waves in the infinite magnetic field approximation. Based on the exact solution, we consider the dynamics of boundary-induced perturbations under different regimes of thermal misbalance.
