Abstract <p>We describe the software implementation of the star tracking system for extended observations with the upgraded Zeiss-600 telescope at the Crimean Astronomical Station of Sternberg Astronomical Institute, Lomonosov Moscow State University. Positional stability is typically better than 0.2 arcsec (std. dev.) per frame (<InlineEquation ID="IEq1"> <EquationSource Format="TEX">\({\sim}1\)</EquationSource> <!--BPhysMGU2570167Tatarnikov-m1--> </InlineEquation> min integration) during hour-long monitoring sequences.</p>
