Abstract

Accurately determining the coordinates of celestial objects at a given moment in time is a significant and relevant area of research. Such developments are particularly in demand for the study of cosmic processes associated with polar wind dynamics, which are observed not only on terrestrial planets but also, for example, on Titan, Saturn’s moon [1]. The present study is devoted to the development of a dynamic model of the Earth’s pole, enabling the prediction of its motion. The method developed for this purpose is based on a correlation-spectral approach and regression modeling. As a practical outcome of the study, forecasted values of Earth pole motion were constructed. In addition, variations of both polar and nonpolar oscillations of the Earth’s pole were obtained using data from ground-based and space-based observations.
