<p>584 and 230 million of the global population are affected by Cadmium (Cd) and Arsenic (As) contamination mostly due to the negative impact on the environment via food, water and water contamination. We carried out an experiment to remove Cd and As from wastewater using electrocoagulation Technology with iron electrodes and an airflow rate of 400&#xa0;ml/min, and 100 Kpa at 26&#xa0;°C to obtain 92.00% and 99.86% respectively. The solid product obtained as a flocculant was characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD). X-ray fluorescence (XRF) showed the magnetite-cadmium-arsenic composite which has a potential application as semiconductors in solar cells and diodes.</p> Graphical abstract <p></p>
