摘要

The study aims to fabricate PCL-Ag/PCL-CUR bilayer mat with PCL-Ag nanofiber as the top layer and PCL-CUR nanofiber as the bottom layer by sequential electrospinning for the first time. The extent of cell viability of the PCL-Ag nanofiber is > 75% while it is > 100% for PCL-CUR nanofiber, meeting the requirements of ISO 10993–5. The synergistic effect of Ag and CUR present in the top and bottom layers of the PCL-Ag/PCL-CUR bilayer mat has provided an enriched antibacterial activity against the growth of both gram-negative (P. aeruginosa and E.coli) and gram-positive (B. subtilis and S. aureus) bacteria.
