CI/CD und DevSecOps in multiplen Transformationen: Eine qualitative Fallstudie zur agil-digitalen Transformation in einer europäischen Bank
摘要
The European financial sector is undergoing a profound transformation driven by digitalization, increasing competitive pressure, and growing regulatory requirements. Given this complexity, organizational resilience, the ability to respond quickly, stably, and securely to unexpected events, is becoming a strategic success factor. Outdated structures and functional silos are slowing down traditional, lengthy processes in banks. This qualitative case study examines how continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) and development, security, and operations (DevSecOps) contribute to agile digital transformation and strengthen organizational resilience in a European bank. The analysis shows that the introduction of these practices breaks down silo structures by forming cross-functional teams. The “shift left” approach integrates security and compliance checks early in the development process, proactively minimizing risks and ensuring regulatory compliance more efficiently. The study thus contributes to both science and practice. It empirically demonstrates how technological, organizational, and cultural mechanisms interact to strengthen transformation and resilience, and identifies key success factors such as cross-functional collaboration, early integration of security checks, and a culture that promotes learning. Organizations can derive concrete recommendations from this, for example, on team, process, and leadership design to effectively promote agile-digital transformations and organizational resilience.
