摘要

The state of digital transformation in an organization can be measured using digital maturity models. While many such models exist, specific ones for nonprofit organizations are either lacking, less scientifically grounded, or not very practical. This article presents a maturity model for digital transformation in nonprofit organizations, provides a methodological foundation, and discusses its practical application as a tool within IT Business Alignment. The maturity model makes digital transformation more tangible, structures the topic, and helps identify strengths, weaknesses, and priorities. It facilitates internal exchange and fosters a shared understanding of digital transformation. The maturity model can be used at various levels—between organizational units, within leadership, or with operational staff—to develop strategies and measure progress. By comparing different perspectives, the model supports informed decision-making and the targeted advancement of digital transformation.
