<p>Echocardiography plays a central role in the cardiovascular assessment and surveillance of patients with active cancer or in remission. With the development of specialised cardio-oncology services, the demand for echocardiography in cancer patients continues to grow. Here we explain the nuances of echocardiography in cardio-oncology, and detail how our institution has optimised service delivery to minimise cancer patient healthcare visits, improve time to cardio-toxicity diagnosis and utilising physiologists to lead cancer survivorship clinics.</p>
